Monster Garage II (final)

June 02, 2004

MGII_teaser.jpg At 8:01pm, May 30 the last piece of drywall was hung. Now, it's up to Nathan to finish applying the mud, primer, pain, trim and furniture. I even got a part of the room named after me! The upper balcony is now named Miller's Landing which resides in The Hinkle Annex. The plan is to have the whole room ready for the New Year's Eve party. I can't wait to see it.

Nathan staples some more shims around a panel holding a disclaimer for the next people to remodel the room. "This is better than what we started with. 5/28/2004"

MGII_rickets.jpg

Rachael shows the first warning signs of "Home Improvement Rickets" brought upon by close proximity to the magnetic fields from too many power tools.

MGII_backwall.jpg

The back wall of the room is partly patched with mud and ready for the electric to be finished.

MGII_loft.jpg

The loft will receive a new railing but will retain the exposed beams.

Great pictures. By the way, there is no such thing as too many power tools.

As usual, Rachael speaks the truth...shame on you, Dan, for suggesting that there can be enough power tools!

Good pictures Dan! I feel like I was there with all of you. Thank you! Julie Hinkle (Rachael's mom)

Yo DAN!

I was just taking a break at work, and made a quickie visit to THE Official Monster Garage web site... who needs Jesse James anyways?

Thanks again for all of your help! LeAnna and I are dissapointed that we are missing the festivities this weekend, and missing a chance to see the Sharlows.

Let Beth know that while LeAnna is in Arkansas this weekend, I will be using our new martini glasses to enjoy a few of the 150 Classic Cocktail recipies that they sent us.

Later,

Nathan "The YMCA Kid"
