While I was out in San Diego for a friend's wedding I took the time to do some typical tourist-type things like going to a popular Sea themed park and finally to the sea itself. |

An inquisitive penguin looks up near the service entrance of an exhibit at a popular theme park in San Diego.

This seal, in a display enclosure, seems to pose for a picture. As soon as my camera was lowered, he looked at me and swam away. [Correction: It's actually a Sea Lion.]

A pair of sculling teams, practicing for a competition, are framed by the landscaping.

People walking down the Ocean Beach Fishing Pier in San Diego are silhouetted by the setting sun.

Posted by: ERNesbitt on April 12, 2004 08:12 PMI'd have to say the sculling picture is my favorite. As always, nice work Dannyboy.
Posted by: Andy Rower on April 13, 2004 01:52 PMJust passign through and I can't help but correct. The rowers aren't sculling. They're sweeping. Sculling is when the rower has two oars and the max number of people in a sculling boat is usually two. Sometimes four.
Haha, as a coxswain, I couldnt resist.
