I was bored while waiting for my friend Shannon in a hotel room, so I decided to check out the view from the 12th floor. The strange perspective reduces *most* of the frame to geometric shapes which is what caught my attention.

Last week I was honored to serve as best man in the wedding of two of my good friends. I didn't have the chance to take a lot of photos but I'll post a few anyway.

99% of all photos taken of my friend LeAnna can be used to check her tonsils. You can see by the look on my face, I'm clearly embarassed by her display.

There's a reason most photojournalists don't dress up for work often. You never know when you'll have to breathe soybean dust in the middle of a northwest Ohio field to get good light.

The setting sun silhouettes farmer Roger Burtchin as he harvests one of his soybean fields, Monday, Oct. 13, 2003. Because the field is bordered on two sides by subdivisions, Burtchin tries to be considerate and keep dust down as much as possible for those with laundry out drying. Because suburbs and subdivisions are encroaching on farmland, there have been some difficulties between the two cultures.

My good friend Mary Beth journeyed here from Baltimore, Maryland to see me earlier this month. We had a great time eating food that will undoubtedly cut years from our lives, hanging out in nefarious establishments for the purpose of imbibing the demon alcohol and playing games that will lead us to moral corruption, and generally just talking about life, the universe and the horrible karaoke that was being inflicted upon us.
It was a great night and it made me realize how much I miss my friend.

Thanks to the lovely and talented Raena, my photolog is comfortably seated in it's new home and I even gave it a new name!
Welcome to www.photodan.net !
For the meantime, please forgive the horrible default look. I will be doing a complete redesign after my duties as best man for my friend Shannon's wedding are over.
