New Arrivals

July 20, 2003

I was trimming a Forsythia bush in my parent's front yard when I came across a nest containing a couple very young Cardinal chicks. I was afraid the mother wouldn't come back since I had disturbed it so I've been keeping an eye on them. The mother came back though, so all is well.

Two cardinal chicks peer out over their nest in the front yard of my parent's home. Over the fast couple days, they have opened their eyes and sprouted a full coat of feathers.

Dan, you have captured something more than a good shot. You captured a moment of God's creation, a moment of life, precious life. I admire your photo taking abilities and realize that being a photographer is more than just taking pictures; it's about life.

Word to that, Clayton.

My first reaction, though, was 'Aw, look at their little faces!!' :D

They look a little like Jerry Lee Lewis. :)

Or someone with a bad toupee.

Great shot.
