In Remembrance

June 04, 2003

While in Australia this past May, I had the honor of meeting Wayne Papps, a fantastic photographer working for the Australian Antarctic Division. He was warm and friendly and I felt lucky for the few minutes we had to speak. The work he did was breathtaking and I am truly humbled by his talent.

The loss of this great photographer is a tragedy not only to the large number of people he and his work affected but to photography itself. We are lucky that Wayne will live on through his photographs.

A small gallery of Wayne Papps' work

Some of your photos are Great!! I am a bit partial to Becky(your sister?) peeking her head out while on board the ferry. (I work for Miller Boat Line!)
I also love the jellyfish!

See you on the Island,
