Back in February, I wrote about a dilemma about choosing which photo to run with a story about Bruce Artrip, an Ohio man diagnosed with severe Leukemia.
This morning the answer became painfully clear to me.
The correct action is to use the photo that will do the most good at that particular time. Run the stoic faced man when it can help raise funds for medical expenses and run the picture of him smiling and happy when people need it most.

Bruce Artrip died Wednesday, May 21 of complications from a bone marrow transplant. In February, Bruce Artrip said coping with a terminal illness changed his perspective on life. "Time with my family means more now," he said. "The sky is more blue now, and you recognize the small things that you might have taken for granted."
Raena and I went out for a few hours Friday night and I took the camera along with me to get a few grab-shots.

Raena lets smoke curl out of her mouth while having a cold beer at the Republic Bar & Cafe in North Hobart, Friday night.
As advertised (and a few days late...) here is my small contribution to the Mayday Project.
The photographs were taken during the course of my second day in Hobart, Tasmania.
The layout for these may look bad until I can figure out how to post it properly...
