Needle in a haystack

I have always been interested in learning new things. One of the best parts of my job is that I get access to people and places that ordinary people don't. Today I was introduced to new medical technology and allowed to make my first diagnosis of an abnormality in a mammogram. Photography isn't the only profession where attention to detail is important.

Dr. Matthew Gutowicz Jr. uses a magnifying glass to examine traditional film mammograms. Fisher-Titus Hospital in Norwalk, Ohio now has a new digital system that aids in screening and diagnosis of abnormalities in breasts.
