There are times you can look and look for a decent photograph and not find it... until you stop looking.
I walked around the apple orchard, the pumpkin patch, the corn maze and a few other places, looking for a good photo. I decided to go with what I had shot already and started back to my car. As I passed the crates of pumpkins I realized that the picture had found me instead.

Crates of pumpkins sit in front of the Burnham Orchard in Berlin Heights, Ohio. The Burnham's are hosting many family oriented activities including hay rides, a cornfield maze and a large pumpkin patch.
I was covering a high school soccer match this week. The weather was beautiful, 72 degrees and slightly cloudy and I was camped beside the goal following the ball through my 300mm f2.8 (with a 2x extender.)

Cedar Point (The best amusement park in the world, in case you didn't know) has been doing Halloweekends for a few years, staying open for at least a month longer than they ever used to. They keep some of the good rides open and make haunted houses all over the place. They do a really good job with atmosphere. When I saw the fog machine and the setting sun, I knew I had to do something with the situation...

A Michigan family crosses over from the other side...of the Raptor, a roller coaster at Cedar Point. The amusement park stays open during the Autumn season to scare patrons roller coasters as well as haunted houses.
I wrote an editorial over at The Mac Observer yesterday about stealing wireless internet access.
It was a very light day for assignments.
I was sent to a church gathering for a program called "100 Men In Accepting The Challenge Of Leadership." Unfortunately it wasn't very visually exciting so I concentrated on lighting (mostly bad) and the members of the congregation.

For a while now, I've wanted a proper place to post some of my pictures from day to day. And after pestering my wonderful girlfriend endlessly, she's agreed to set me up with my own WebLog and just enough instructional help to be dangerous.
So, I invite you to comment on any of the photographs presented here. Don't be afraid to be brutally honest with your constructive criticism either. I completely welcome it.
