MAC Track

I was out taking photographs at the MAC track championships being held in Toledo today. Track meets can be difficult due to the fact that several events are usually going on at once but the bad weather was clearly the biggest obstacle this time.

(Tip: If you ever have to shoot out in the rain, a simple bath towel to place over your gear is your best friend. Yes, I know my new Canon equipment is supposed to be able to survive rain of up to 10″ per hour but that doesn’t mean I’m eager to test that particular theory.)

The sand in the long-jump pit appears to shatter as April Williams lands during competition in the MAC track championships. Williams finished third in the event with a jump of 6.19 meters.

Despite the rainy weather, fans were still having a good time cheering for their school at the MAC track championships being held at the University of Toledo.

Ebba Stenback is surrounded by a curtain of water as she passes through the water jump during the 3,000-meter Steeplechase at the 2006 MAC track Championships. Stenback won the event with a time of 10:14.55, the third fastest performance in MAC Tournament history.
