Oh wide angle, I have missed you so.
Those of you who have transitioned from a film to most any digital SLR know that all your lenses have suddenly had their magnification increased by an extra 50%. That means that your beautiful 28mm lens is now acting like a 42mm. YIKES, bye bye wide angle! (but HELLO, telephoto!) With my Canon EOS 10D, this is a fact I had to grudgingly get used to.
Not any more.
The university just purchased a brand spankin’ new Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, featuring a gorgeous full frame sensor which gives my super-wide angle back to me. I couldn’t resist running out and giving it a test the very first day I had it.
